We are excited to announce that our group will be meeting in-person at a new location. Beginning Wednesday March 12, meetings will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Solana Beach. More information about times and location is found below.
STUDY Focus - Way of the Buddha
Starting January 4, 2025, we began a course given through the Insight Meditation Society called The Way of the Buddha. These teachings are a timeless exploration of the core teachings of the Dharma path.

The Four Noble Truths, Four Immeasurables, and Four Foundations of Mindfulness
The Five Precepts, Five Spiritual Faculties, and Five Hindrances to Meditation

The Eight-Fold Path
The Ten Perfections
And more!
Each module features IMS teachers from many generations and backgrounds who will guide you on the path.
To listen outside of the group and/or to access the transcripts, please pay the one-time registration fee of $15. This is a very modest rate considering the amount of materials.
About the Group
Beginning March 12, the North County Coastal sitting group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 pm.
Meetings are held at the Unitarian Universalish Fellowship Church at 1036 Solana Dr, Solana Beach, CA 92075 in Founder’s Hall.
We begin with a 30-minute silent meditation followed by a 30-minute recorded Vipassana-style Dharma talk. We then discuss the talk and how it relates to our lives. There is no teacher present. We are a peer-led group. We close with 5 minutes of silent meditation. While we encourage regular participation, there is no commitment required. Come as you are able.
This sitting group is open to all levels of meditators.
Chairs are available for sitting. If you prefer a cushion, please bring your own. Note the room has concrete flooring.
