Seeds of Compassion
A fund to support the Dharma in the San Diego community
The goal of the Seeds of Compassion Fund is to support the development and implementation of novel approaches to sharing the Buddha's teachings of compassion, generosity and liberation with the larger community. We invite applications for projects that identify a need or interest that emerges from the local community.
The fund solicits projects that are both practical and innovative and that encourage the participation of groups or individuals who might otherwise not be exposed to the teachings of the Buddha.
One example of a project is buying lunches and paying registration fees for low-income children in order for them to attend a dharma event. Anything that supports or spreads the dharma is welcome. Be creative!
We are primarily looking for projects targeting San Diego County and that require no more than a $500 budget. Your application will be evaluated in terms of funds availability, alignment with Insight San Diego's mission and values, and the merits of the project. Insight San Diego may request additional information in order to evaluate an application.
