Seeing clearly refers to seeing things as they truly are, minus our projections and the interpretations that can cause us suffering and stress. The practice, beginning with focusing on the breath, steadies and calms the mind so that, in seeing our experience more clearly, we begin to relate to it in a way that brings more calm and peace to our lives. It may well support us in coping more effectively with the pressures of daily life, reducing stress responses, bringing more kindness to our relationships, managing difficult emotions, or even increasing energy and creativity.
Insight Meditation is a process of continual discovery that can lead us to the full development of our wisdom and compassion. In cultivating an open and clear awareness, we wake up to what is below the image of ego, and what is beyond the ups and downs of experience. We see that life has a much deeper texture, if only we look in a different way.

Following a 2,500 year tradition in which the community financially supports the offerings provided, the teachings and meditation sessions in this class are offered on a generosity (Dana) basis. No one is turned away because they cannot give. Insight San Diego and dharma teachers are solely supported by the generosity of attendees.
At the end of the class, you will be given the opportunity to offer dana. We are encouraging attendees to give what their budget and hearts of generosity allow. Insight San Diego also accepts donations online on our donations page.
