COMPASSION CULTIVATION TRAINING

Compassion Cultivation Training is an 8-week course, which combines meditation practices with psychology and empirical research findings. This course is set to assist you with cultivating compassion toward yourself, your loved ones, as well as other people in your life. It is meant to increase emotional resilience and assist you with learning how to respond to suffering.

The course consists of eight 2-hour weekly sessions, which include didactic lecture, experiential meditation, and discussion intended to increase your awareness and practices of compassion toward yourself and others.

Dr. Janina Scarlet is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a scientist, and a full-time geek. A Ukrainian-born refugee, she survived Chernobyl radiation and persecution. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her family and later, inspired by the X-Men, developed Superhero Therapy to help patients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She currently works at the Center for Stress and Anxiety Management in San Diego. Janina is a certified Compassion Cultivation Training Teacher through Stanford University, as well as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher through University of California, San Diego.

Cost:

The cost to attend is $100. The registration fee covers materials and other expenses. Parking will be validated in the parking lot adjacent to the church.
